In combination with striking graphic design, cutting-edge photography and stellar illustrations, Gainesville Life captures the city with provocative in-depth articles on people, events and issues that define and shape contemporary life in Hall County. Gainesville Life is a quartely publication. The 2005 publication schedule is as follows: first weeks of February, May, August and the last week of October.

Gainesville Life publishes a total of 4,000 copies per issue.

Advertising policies
All advertisements are accepted and published by the Publisher upon the representation that advertiser and/or advertising agency are authorized to publish the entire contents and subject matter thereof. Advertiser and/or advertising agency warrant that advertiser owns all rights in and to the advertisements submitted for publication, including copyrights, and that the advertisements do not violate any applicable state or federal trade regulation and do not invade the privacy rights of any person or libel any person. When advertisements containing the names, pictures, and/or testimonials of persons are submitted for publication, the order or request for the publication thereof shall be deemed to be a representation by the advertiser and/or advertising agency that they have obtained the written consent for the use in the advertisement of the name, picture and/or testimonial of any such person or the consent of his administrator, executor, heirs, or assigns. In consideration of the Publisher’s acceptance of any advertisements for publication, advertiser and advertising agency shall jointly and severally, indemnify and save the Publisher harmless from and against any loss of expense, including without limitation reasonable attorneys’ fees, resulting from claims or suits based upon the contents or subject matter of such advertisements, including without limitation claims or suits alleging negligence, gross negligence, deceptive trade practices, libel, violation of right of privacy, plagiarism, and copyright infringement.
The Publisher shall not be liable for failure to publish or distribute all or any part of any issue because of labor disputes, accidents, fires, acts of God or any other circumstances beyond the Publisher’s control. In all cases, Publisher’s liability for failure to publish an advertisement or for any error or mistake made by Publisher in any advertisement shall be limited to a refund of all or part of the amount paid for the publication of the particular advertisement in question. In no event shall the Publisher be liable for any resulting or consequential damages resulting from such failure to publish or mistake. This limitation of liability shall apply even if the failure to publish or mistake was solely the fault of the Publisher.
All orders are subject to Publisher’s acceptance. Publisher reserves the right to reject or cancel any advertising for any reason at any time, including, but not limited to, any advertisement that in the opinion of the Publisher does not conform to the editorial or graphic standards of the publication. Any deliberate attempt to simulate Gainesville Life’s format is not permitted and the Publisher reserves the right to place the word "advertisement" above the copy, which in the Publisher’s opinion, resembles editorial matter.

Contract specifics
A signed agreement is required for utilization of 3 or 4 issue rates. The 3-issue agreement allows the advertiser to skip one issue of the magazine during one calendar year period. The 4-issue agreement rates apply for advertising in all issues of the magazine during one calendar year. When a signed contract is not fulfilled, Gainesville Life will bill the customer at their
current earned level of commitment at the time the contract is stopped.
Multiple advertising rate
By purchasing multiple ads within the same issue of Gainesville Life the advertiser will be charged the earned rate for the largest ad placed; additional placements will receive a 25% discount.
Combination rates
Place the same advertisement in both the Gainesville Life and Athens Magazine and the advertiser will receive 25% discount off the second placed publication’s open rates. Sign a contract with both publications and receive an additional 5% discount off of your signed contract rates for each magazine.
Advertising agencies
A 15% agency discount will be allowed for complete camera-ready ads provided by recognized advertising agencies that meet established advertising deadlines.

Mechanical requirements
Electronic files: Ads maybe furnished on disk (Zip, or CDr only) as Macintosh-formatted files using QuarkXpress 5 (or lower) or Adobe Illustrator 10 (or lower). Support files (fonts and placed artwork) are required. Fonts should be Macintosh formatted with both screen versions and postscript included. Color photos must be saved as CMYK. All camera-ready ads must be accompanied by an acceptable proof at 100% size with no corrections marked on final proof.
Additional services available
- Custom printing-brochures, flyers, programs. Rates based on specifications of individual custom printing job.
- Utilization of Gainesville Life created advertisement for another media: $75 copy of whole ad; $175 purchase right to one year use of photographic image
- Over runs of full page magazine ads on magazine stock: $400 per thousand (must be ordered before press run of issue advertisement is to appear)
